Those black streaks are actually a form of algae called Gloeocapsa Magma that feeds on the limestone filler in shingles. Our soft washing process neutralizes the algae at the root immediately.

While you will see a major difference right away, the dead organic material will continue to release and wash off naturally with rain over the following few weeks. For roofs with extremely heavy infestation, a second treatment may be required to achieve a complete restoration.
